Decades of Virginia Roots
Daniel Hudson was born and raised in Fauquier County and moved to Fredericksburg in 2007 to attend the University of Mary Washington. It was there that he fell in love with both his beautiful wife, MacKenzie, and the charming community he now proudly serves.
After spending four years as a Commercial Insurance Agent with GEICO, Daniel decided he wanted a career that allowed him to build more personal connections within the community. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, many of whom are involved in real estate, Daniel was drawn to the business after purchasing his first home in 2012.
Daniel’s family background gives him a unique understanding of both the real estate and construction industries. His mother and aunt were licensed Realtors in Virginia, his uncle is a custom home builder in Northern Virginia, another uncle runs a title insurance company in New York, and his grandfather was a real estate investor and developer. Conversations about real estate, construction, investing, and market trends were common around the dinner table, helping to shape the knowledge and perspective he brings to his clients today.
Daniel enjoys building genuine relationships with his clients and partners. He offers a level of professionalism, communication, and care that helps clients feel confident whether they are buying, selling, investing, referring, or building a home. He works diligently to achieve the best possible outcome and ensures his clients understand every step of the process.
A strong believer in community involvement, Daniel has dedicated significant time to local organizations and leadership roles. He is an active member of the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors (FAAR), the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA). He was honored as FABA's Rookie of the Year in 2018 and joined the FABA Board of Directors in 2025. Daniel also served on the King George County Economic Development Authority (EDA) from 2023 to 2024, where he worked alongside local leaders to support economic growth and development within the community.
Daniel is passionate about conservation and giving back through volunteer service. He has been heavily involved with the Fredericksburg Chapter of Ducks Unlimited for many years and was recognized as Ducks Unlimited "Man of the Year" in both 2018 and 2023 for his dedication to conservation and fundraising efforts.
In 2020, Daniel and his family moved to King George County, where they continue to enjoy the small-town lifestyle and strong sense of community. Daniel and his wife, MacKenzie, have been married since 2013 and are the proud parents of four children: Patrick, Rebekah, William, and John.
When he is not helping clients achieve their real estate goals or spending time with his family, Daniel can usually be found outdoors—either in the woods or on the water. An avid hunter, boater, and conservationist, he is committed to preserving Virginia's natural resources and helping future generations enjoy the outdoors as much as he does.
